Page Title

In September of 2015 I spent a week Cuernavaca, Morales, Mexico. During that time, I spent everyday attempting to capture the essence of this city in photographs. Cuernavaca is a bright, colorful, vibrant city located about 50 miles south of Mexico City. It is full of energy and proud, hard working people. I enjoyed being in Cuernavaca immensly and I hope to return soon.

September 26, 2015. This day marked 365 days since 43 students from the Ayotzinapa Rural Teacher's College went missing in Iguala, Guerrero, Mexico. These photographs are from a protest which occurred in Mexico City to honor the 43 students. People marched the streets chanting and singing, demanding justice. Many people carried signs reading "¡Fuera Peña!", which translates to "Out with Peña!". Enrique Peña Nieto, the President of the United States of Mexico, has been accused of corruption and dealings with the Cartel. There have been several protests held against him since he was elected in 2012.
